In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Hot and Spicy Peanuts. These are great for a game day party, or just for munching on while watching a movie.

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
2 cups unsalted peanuts (You may use other types of nuts, if you prefer.)
2 teaspoons chili powder
¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
½ teaspoon garlic salt

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups unsalted peanuts, 2 teaspoons olive oil, 2 teaspoons chili powder, and ¼ teaspoon ground red pepper. Mix until all peanuts are well-coated. Place in a single layer in a 13-inch by 9-inch by 2-inch Pyrex dish. Bake in a 300-degree oven for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through. Remove from the oven. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon garlic salt (or more) over peanuts, and toss to combine. Drain peanuts on paper towels, and add a little more garlic salt, if desired. Cool completely before serving. You may store these in a tightly covered container at room temperature. These are hot and flavorful; you may adjust the seasonings to your own taste. Enjoy!!! --Betty 

  • did rick say good bye to himself lol? Betty is very maternal towards Rick too. Its so cute. Its almost like he is her second child. I like the way betty teases him and he looks embarrassed. I really want a wife like Betty someday. Many young women these days do not have the same skills and charm that betty has. It is almost like Betty comes from a novel. Too perfect to be real.

  • I felt inloved not only with each recipes but also to Betty & Rick...thanks for sharing the Recipes and the Sweetness.

  • Saw almost the exact recipe from Martha Stewart years and years ago. Only difference in she used vegetable oil, every once in a while I use coconut oil.

  • This recipe looks great for the holiday season! I would like to recommend a way to serve them: paper muffin liners. When I prepare nuts for a party, I put 2 T or so in each muffin liner and place them on a large platter. They look beautiful and there is no mess and no hands digging into a serving bowl.

  • thanks betty good video :)
