I wish ALL black people had the attitude the one did as the character he played...he shook off the discrimination , and some really do even these days and THOSE are the ones I respect! Not the ones that walk around with a chip on their shoulders demanding respect.

It's a little known fact that Richard Pryor co-wrote BLAZZIN SADDLES. Mel Brooks revealed this in a dialog with Carl Reiner. Brooks went on to say that many of the "racist" scenes would have never been accepted without Pryor's "blessing." Personally, I think the this movie did more to debunk racism than any other. Brooks and all the gifted writers that made contributions, picked on everyone and everything and laughed in the face of racism. Are we Black? Yes, we are! lol
