I think "clapping" (similar to defanging the snake) and moving into your attacker (in case he backs up) is much more simpler. Of course, nothing is foolproof, but if you feel you're going to get shot anyway - simple is always best. Peace.

With all do respect Sifu Simonet I am a big fan,but that will never ever work in real life, that's something out of a movie. I am training for my instructor certification in Krav Maga under the IKMF I am training with a former Isreli commando number 1 best in Canada. All the assailant has to do is pull back and shoot u. U would have to be super mother fucking fast to pull off a gun disarm like that, it is impossible.

Guys, these aren't go-to tactics. They're for when your in the situation with no other options. So for all if you saying this'll never work, its more likely to be successful then doing nothing.

once someone pointed a gun towards my father to get money so my fathe slapped the gun away one hand pushes the wrist the other the gun in reverse direction that is what to do if they have it pointed to your front note my father is brave and has extreme reflexes if you aare not confident just givem what they want

this techniqe maybe fansy bu is 20 precent that will work in real life situation i think krav maga is the best martial art for knife and gun situation
its fast effective and easy to pull everyone can do it

no one with a gun is going to come close enough for you to elbow them....seroiusly guns were invented to gain "range" advantage, however this might work agains knives
