How Can I... (Ten/Rose/Human!Ten AU)

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!

There, got your attention. ;) This is an AU vid, so it's best you get the story before watching, or you might be confused with all the different points of view. And oh is it a sad one. I was in a mood for tragedy, I guess.

Storyline:

Universes apart, Rose and the Doctor desperately miss each other and can't seem to shake the memory of their time together from their minds. Still, Rose has to try to make a life with the part-human Doctor, who loves her just as much as his other self does.

So she tries, and tries, but still the memory of her other Doctor lingers. The part-human Doctor can sense her distance, even though she outwardly is acting as if she's moved on, when she hasn't.

(And still, in his own universe, a Time Lord is missing the woman he loved and gave up.)

The part-human Doctor's patience starts to crack, and he and Rose begin to constantly argue until one night he throws Rose out of his flat and tries to forget her. Easier said than done, of course. Without her he is lost.

Rose decides to go in search for him, but loses her nerve as she watches him through the window of a chip shop, and has the driver take her home. Again, the old memories surface, and she weeps for what she's lost.

Eventually deciding that she needs to give her relationship a proper chance, she calls the part-human Doctor and asks her over to her flat, where they talk and (ahem) make up.

(And still, in another universe, a Time Lord suffers.)

It doesn't work. Rose eventually becomes distant again. The part-human Doctor had hoped that this time they would make it. When he confronts her, they argue, until finally Rose admits that she can't get the other Doctor out of her mind and can't stop loving him. No matter how much the two Doctors are alike, she can't bring herself to love them both, and the one she loves isn't the one she's with.

Devastated, the part-human Doctor leaves Rose's flat for the last time, never to see or hear from her again.

Heh, well, in the fanfic I'm writing, they're having a good life. I just wanted to use this song for something, and it didn't exactly lend itself to having a happy ending.

Great video, you made me cry a little. Wonderful video and story. I am not usually one for Doctor and Rose paring but you editing for the story and song match beautifully. Nice work.

-When he leaves Rose in the other universe and they're at the wall

-When he's dying in her arms

-When John Smith has to die and become the Doctor, leaving the woman he loves

-When He erases Donna's memory and thus killing who she really is

-When the Doctor's dying and he goes and visits everyone ... "I don't want to go"
