2003 Mach 1 vs 2006 Mustang GT Street Race

A quick sprint in the daylight. Not really a fair race because the Mach is modified but a race nonetheless.

i have the option right now to buy a 06 gt with 50 000km, or a 03 mach 1 with 92 000. both in great shape. what would make the better car to buy? i feel the mach 1 cuz i wanna modify whatever one i get, and i feel the 4v would handle better and be safer to modify than the 3v.

thats a tough question. If you decide on the mach then make sure it is a 5 spd. I wish the Machs had a better interior though. The 05-up GTs win in that catagory hands down.

God the new gt's are so slow. Mach 1's and ls1 fbodys pwn them harder than I thought.

@ACDC88 What was your choice? Honestly, I have my 03 gt and I'm having your exact thoughts now. I wanted a mach 1 at first, but either way... gt or not... the interior blows. Chassis wise i think the 05+ were better.

@ACDC88 definitly go with the mach 1 the gt's are nice but machs are way nicer and they sound alot better

@ACDC88 You have to do more to the s197s to get the look I like. with a mach tinted windows, a nice set of deep dish 18s and a lowering kit and possibly a blackout rear and i'm done as far as exterior. now the s197 I'd have to lower it and throw on a set of 20 inch bullits, take off the rear wing, put a 3 inch cowl hood, put a billit grill that deletes the horse and the fog lights, a chin spoiler, a solid black out for the back that deletes the (gt) symble, thats it other than painted mirrors.

@grey03mach1 I really like the machs interior...the seats are the most comfortable stock mustang seats I've ever sat in and I've sat in quite a few. I love the way the gauges look...the silver around the gauges and stereo in the upgrade packages...the pedals and all that trim like a bullit...I think they're awesome and I'm going to get one...I think the mach is quicker than an 05-09 gt stock for stock both 5 speed w equal drivers...jmo. i like the 05 ups but they just look big and weigh alot

Stock vs Stock or bolt-ons vs bol-ons the mach is better but the 3v Gt will take boost better, the mach  is aluminium block and can only hand bout 450hp saftley on stock bottom end.
