1 person ultralight backpacking shelter. This is my first time setting up the poncho/tarp. I use a GoLite poncho, cheap aluminium tent stakes, and kelty triptease line. I tied a bowline knot on the pole ends of the line and looped it back from the stakes into a prussic knot for tensioners. Enjoy.

  • Name of song?

  • @SirChubalots i dont remember the name of the song, but the artist is jen lasher

  • just curious how tall you are? im 6'2 so i might be getting close to the limit for this tarp to really fit comfortably. this really is one of the coolest pieces of gear around tho and for so cheap. saw it on sale for $65, not bad for a shelter, raingear, and pack cover. i also read that andrew skurka used it on one of his extremely long hikes so you know its durable.

  • @fleischd1987 i'm 5'7, but you can get more room out of the set-up if you stake the back 2 corners instead of 3 corners. then set your poles at the front 2 corners. lots of ways to do it

  • Thumbs up for the kid running around in circles in the upper right hand corner?

  • Thanks for this awesome video! I have been considering buying the Golite poncho tarp for some time, but was concerned that the setup might be troublesome. After watching your video, I just placed an order. Thanks for such a great video.

The song is Father by Anthony Rother

  • why would any one waste money on somethin like that? thats not a proper shelter, ya might as well just use one of your living room curtains.

    *Thumbs Up*

  • one Brazilian hammock, one bivy-sack, and one emergency space blanket = light portable shelter. Water proof, user friendly, easy on ur back, unlike the ground.
