Light The Night Philadelphia Walk 2009 - Head shaving

This is a video of my head shaving during The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk on October 24th, 2009.

I am a 10 year blood cancer survivor because TLLS funded a researcher who championed a new drug therapy - Gleevec. After no available therapy worked to fight my Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, in May of 2001, this Magic Cancer Bullet was released in the USA. I attained remission within 6 months and remain in remission to this day thanks to this oral chemo.

Others are not so lucky and so the fight will continue until these blood cancers stop destroying lives.
