1 Watt is 1 Joule per second. 1 Joule is 1 Newton over the distance of 1 meter. 1 Newton is the equivalent of 1 kg of matter accelerating at 1 m/s².

    .

To put things into perspective, output of a typical nuclear reactor is 600 MW, about half of 1.21 GW. A typical nuclear reactor is the size of a building several stories tall, requires a large body of water for cooling, and is connected to generators, pumps, etc.

    .

Doc just revolutionized nuclear power generation. Does he share? No.

This movie takes place in America, therefore referencing an American dictionary about his pronunciation is indeed valid. (Although I in fact have never heard anyone else say "jiggawatts" before, strangely enough).

This spatial fixing nullifies the possibility of time travel. Even if you could "generate enough power" to time travel, you'd never be able to. Earth is moving at over 220km/sec, and we have no idea where in the Universe Earth is. To use a simile: Time travel is like being placed on a motorcycle travelling 150mph, while blindfolded, and being told to navigate a never-ending straight-a-way with live landmines randomly distributed every 12 inches. Statistically speaking, not a chance in hell.

So your argument is that "in movies, nothing needs to make sense and the audience should just STFU and shut off their brains"?

    .

Dude, it's the internet. EVERYTHING is an argument.

My point is that his portable nuclear power plant more than warrants a legitimate way to obtain fissile material.

    .

Instead he went for Libyan terrorists and leaving us the energy crisis.

He also made a time machine capable of staying spatially fixed to the same point on earth as it jumps through time.

There's a lot of secrets that Doc doesn't share.
