All things equal, Hughes probably won the first round, with two take-downs to St. Pierre's one, although he landed the best blow, with the spinning kick to the body. Analysis is tempered, however, by the way St. Pierre's dominated his opponents, including Hughes in the rematches.

It's almost common knowledge that Pride encouraged doping. Jackson and Ibarra have accused Chute Boxe in particular. Ceratainly Silva and Rua are much less aggressive in the States. (Amphetamines, testosterone, EPO, etc. ramp up aggression in the ring.) Could Henderson have knocked Silva out in Japan? If there was testing in Japan, why wouldn't other fighters set the record straight.

Well you were 100% on pt2 Chucky wins due to a longer arm reach in exchanges. Silva didn't fight smart. GSP dominated Hughes like I fully expected.
Future prediction should Chucky rematch vs Jardine. Jardine will bust him up with kicks to the leg and end it in full mount with elbows to the beak.
GSP will break Serra mentally by not allowing him to take him to the mat and will beat his face until he can sink a arm bar.
Serra will quit & tap.
