we the students of karmapa are only celebrating one thing--our power as individuals to use our body, speech and mind to slay every poison and delusion, united this losar not in feasts but in sincere prayer so we ourselves never look the other way as long as even one living creature is suffering. may we never abandon others, remebering those who sacrficed their lives with motivation only for human rights. in this new year, WAKE UP and not pretend to do our best but commit fully to action!
So after centuries and millenum Chinese are in control of the Chinese Empire. What ideals, what rules of law and great aspirations define the Chinese empire in this 21st century?
How many humans and how many sentient beings would be better or worse off if the Chinese Empire had never come into power?
The Western World sleeps whilst the Dragons prowl the streets devouring the children. May Buddha forgive their inaction and protect the Khampa and Amdowans from the Dragons bite.
China and Chinese had a great culture and kingdom thousands of years ago. Chinese built a Great Wall to keep OUT the Mongols and Manchus.
Mongols and Manchus were rational: to preserve the Mongol and Manchu government they should control exploding Chinese fecundity,
Tibetan lamas persuaded Mongol and Manchu job creators to stop mass extermination of Chinese. Now the Chinese are engaging in killing Tibetan lamas and laymen without rule of law or due process.
People live for their own satisfaction, people kill themselves under duress, and in rare cases people sacrifice their own lives without blowing up and killing uninvolved people.
Tibetans live in Tibet; and want to live a way of life held sacred since time immemorial.
Now Chinese who are patriotic, who believe in being Chinese, and who believe that the Chinese people will not harm humans and sentient beings, demand that all non-Chinese submit to Chinese will.
