Summary: My morning forecast target was Vernon, Texas. Upon arriving at about 1:45 pm, a storm was already going up near Vernon (77/64, SE winds). It exhibited a low rain-free base from the start. I tracked it NE into Oklahoma where it produced a tornado at approximately 2:40 pm. Tornado 1 lasted about 37 minutes, passing west of Frederick, and roped out as I stopped to photograph golf ball hail. The second tornado formed just 2 miles to my east at this time, or west of Manitou. I tracked it for at least 12 minutes as it moved NE toward Snyder with red mud swirling at its base. Tornado 3 formed just SE of Snyder, or two miles to my northeast and lasted about 5 minutes from what I could tell. Tornado 1 and 2 offered the best view with a loud, heavy roar...much like a waterfall, as usual. In addition to this video, I was able to capture a few shots on 3D. The day ended with a pretty supercell over Lake Kemp at sunset.

Great job, Martin! The backroads southwest and west of FDR were so quiet and empty it was like having the storm all to yourself, wasn't it? I was about a mile east of you.

No screaming. No pointing the camera back at yourself. No shaky shots. Martin you need to watch Storm Chasers and learn how to shoot *real* storm video. ;-)
