  • Dave, I've been following your builds for only a short time now and I enjoy your work very much. I am looking to build my own version of your transmission design and was wondering, What is the OD of your pulley?

  • Great to see you back Dave! I eagerly followed the construction of your other tanks, and I'm happy to see you on another project!

  • Dave - I know you are trying to get the dimensions down - that being said - If the outside tread to tread width was only 48" wide - this little tank would fit in any standard pickup truck bed in the US. Thanks for sharing all of your hard work and taking the time to document it. You definitely make this project within the reach of the average backyard tinkerer.

  • The SC188 will be a new standard in the scaled tank world.

  • @biglou250 : A full scale tank would be too much work and this sort of engineering won't hold up. This steering transmission is great up to a max of maybe 20hp and weight of max 1000 kilos but I wouldn't try any more cause it will just rip itself apart.

  • Wow. This new mantra looks amazing and indeed much more compact then the older version. I love seeing your videos!

  • I love your ingenuity. Ever thought of building one to full scale?

  • The new transmission looks great Dave, nice and compact. I'm looking forward to following this build :-)

  • nice vid dave as always damn shame i donthace the room to do this:(

  • Fantastic - I love these videos - Thanks.
