Check out the exclusive on-board GoPro camera footage from Rhys' truck backflip from 4 different angles including one at the very top of the ramp.

Great job Rhys, we can't wait for what's coming up next.

  • but u have to realise the physics behind why the truck came down crooked in the first place... this is 100% true, not just an idea,

due to the spinning components in the Motor eg crank fly wheel etc it creates a centrifical force which rotates it in the air.

im only 19 and i kno this- shock absorbers would help, but to find a way to solve the spinning would be epic. peace

  • oh yeah i forgot torque roll :D

  • @iclimbrocks1989 FWD cars pull like that cause they are the driven wheels. just like a RWD car burns out and goes left or right.

  • @jesusdrovea300 there is an even balance in the way the motor spins. it probably landed unevenly due to either A him being on the drivers side making the weight distribution uneven or

B that stupid gate thing that drops as he launches off the ramp hitting the back wheels making it go crooked. if they had a super long, soft travel suspension it would absorb all that force nicely, instead of bounce..

  • @jesusdrovea300 small tilted wings?

  • Wish they'd have just shown it from start to finish from the cockpit cam. It was kind of annoying to watch like that.

  • Right and wrong. It could be the engine throwing the truck out of balance because wheel speed helps pull you through the back flip. But the motor in a FWD car is mounted sideways (unless its an older full size. ex: caddy) the engine puts force forward and down. Torque steer is what your thinking of. Caused by IFS set-up, half axles and a shitty transaxle.

  • agreed.

  • the vehicle leans to the right because of the rotation of the engine. For instance, have you ever driven a front wheel drive car? And when you accelerate the car pulls to a direction, like to the left or right or whatever...because of the rotation of the engine...so Rhys truck pulls right cuz his powerful ass motor..not sure if a lot of counterbalancing would work...but i suppose it could.

  • i would of helped if the weight was balanced better because in all his practices you can see the car leaning to the right im surprised they didn't catch that in all his practices.

  • wasn't the event called new year no limits? not experiment
