Ingredients for Nikujaga
(serves 2 people)

Slice Beef
2 Potatoes
1/2 Carrot
1 Onion
Snap Peas

- Soup Stock -
240ml Water (1 u.s. cup)
1/2 tsp Granulated Dashi (made from seaweed)
1 1/2 tbsp Sake
1 1/2 tbsp Sugar
1 1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce

  • @sararamm any sweet wine would do. If you can't use alcohol try using a sugar syrup. 1 part sugar to 1 part water boiled on the stove until the sugar disolves.

  • What can i use instead of mirin(hope i spelled that right DX)Or sake?

  • @LisaBaby67 : I've found that 1 cup of chicken stock works well if you can't find or don't have dashi on hand :).
