  • Yes R1 and R2 are optional.Pls note they are connected across the gate and the cathode.But if you don't provide that SCRs which are much more sensitive to noise may trigger without signal while spikes on supply voltage appear which is quite common in practical world

  • Hi, in the data sheet from the MOC3043 is written that the resistors R1 and R2 are optional why this is and why You mounted them !
