This piece just goes to show what an unbelievable character Beethoven was and is. Rivals any rock n' roll in existence. Very suspenseful music. And i am an old school punk. I have a tattoo of him on my left leg.

What would you propose then? The camera just standing without moving/zooming at all? I'd say all the close-ups are quite well balanced, and give audience the whole idea.

I would propose, ekhangel, that there be more close-ups of their HANDS ... particularly the PIANIST's! If you think the close-ups were well-balanced, great ... I simply did not.

How old was he when this was played? I found his name while I was looking something else up in an old World Book Encyclopedia. Then I found this. Is he still alive?

He was probably in his sixties in this recording. He died in 1992.
