Yes, I'd also like to say thanks for posting this. I take it that this is the same opera composed by Robert Aldridge and premiered last year. I remember reading about an article about this opera and decades-spanning attempt to get it premiered in full. And there was mention that this role was written for Mrs. Lieberson.

A movingly beautiful collage of impressions posted on the Eve of the Veneralia -- ancient April 1st festival of the birth of Venus rising from the froth of semen of castrated Uranus on a shore not far from the Bosporus where Venus was worshipped in later times in Constantinople as Sophia. Venus-Urania, source of Uranian love! And Lorraine Hunt IS Venus, Botticelli-like with flowing locks and sublime smile. No wonder the Angels sing to each other!
