Next Ronaldo/Ronaldinho/Messi 5 year old football/soccer kid Pt. 1

5 year old (and 3 months) with amazing skills doing little kid samba to the Black Eyed Peas' remake of Sergio Mendes' Mas Que Nada. His favorite players are Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo (from Brasil), Zidane, Landon Donovan, and obviously everyone on Manchester United, particularly Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, and Nani. Even teams with red shirts that aren't United get a thumbs up from Brendan. Brendan is particularly happy that he and Rooney wear the exact same boots (even the same color).

Brendan just turned 5 but is playing against six year olds (some of whom are quite big for their age) in this game footage. The game footage was from back-to-back games played this Saturday. He only had about 5 minutes of rest between the games, which is pretty tough to do when you are 5 playing against six year olds.

When we play in the house, the couch is the goal, as you can probably guess. We also use the living room pillars as goal posts. It just depends what mood he's in at the time. I head it to him to give him practice trapping the ball with various body parts. Judging from his goal that he scored off a chest trap, it's working pretty well so far.

@kingGrimmjow95 That's a silly thing to say. Check out his subsequent 5 year old video (part 3). This video was from when he had just turned 5, and you have to be a REALLY bad coach to work on passing over ball familiarity at that age. They don't have the cognitive ability to understand space or another person's perspective yet. By 5 and a half, of course, he was able to do the passing game.

Now that he's six, he overpasses. Wait for that video when it's up. You have no clue.

@irishownage I broke my back in a go-cart accident when I was a kid. My family loves football, though, and I can still coach it when necessary.

@intsdinho The dog sees my kids practicing karate on me all the time and was trying to play fight. Besides, have you ever gotten it on with the axle of a wheel? I haven't, but it can't be a good experience!
