Recorded at the Manchester Academy, 29th October 2008. Jonathan Coulton backed by Paul and Storm singing Creepy Doll. JoCo stopped after the first verse and started talking about there being a special guest in the audience - an internationally renowned author of creepy stories. I looked around and when I saw who it was I started my camera up as fast as I could!

  • Thanks for posting this. When Neil mentioned this on his blog, I figured it was only a matter of time before it appeared on the 'tube.

  • I didn't even know he was in the country so it was a very cool surprise! :)

  • I was in the front row and nearly wet myself when I saw this Neil got up on stage, I then harrassed the poor guy as he was leaving the stage for his autograph not realising that he was gonna stay around for a while, It was one of the best nights out I've had in a long time, Fab

  • For the record @ExcaliburofLight I'm not a stooge hired by the Church of Scientology. I marked your comment for spam because he's not a Scientologist. He was blocked from entering a boys' school because his father was a high-profile Scientologist, I doubt he'd be very chummy towards it. It's adorable you think he still is, though.

Besides, he worships Diana Wynne Jones.

  • @ExcaliburofLight so what? I don't care what he does as long as he keeps writing good stuff.

  • its awesome to see Neil Gaiman. i dont follow the person, but i love his work and its just fun to see him doing things. he reminds me greatly of someone else but i cant quite remember who. his voice sounds like someones. somewhere between Magneto, and Snape i think.

  • This could only have been better with Vincent Price.

  • @Sidheag Are you sure you didn't just pee yourself a little?

  • @Sidheag

    I know I just did

  • Aww, I was hoping Neil would have sang...
