Available for Apple iPad (original and iPad 2) and is customisable for the Samsung Galaxy S, Motorola Xoom and other tablets, this elegant floor standing kiosk puts an interactive tablet right under the hands of a standing adult. The sturdy aluminium "T" section support is topped by the tablet holder with a white or black acrylic fascia (other colours available as a customised version; graphics are a customisation option, too).
We think this tablet stand is especially suited to information points in retail environments such as showrooms and for trade shows, though we have clients who consider this a good choice as an information kiosk for foyers and concourses.
Like the other units in our modular display system range, the free standing base is very sturdy aluminium with skid pads at each corner; the upright riser is a tee shaped extruded and bonded aluminium section for rigidity. The aluminium is painted with an automotive paint to make it easy to touch up scuffs and scrapes, keeping the unit new looking for years. The tablet mount can conceal or reveal the "home" button, and is available as standard in black or white acrylic.
We can provide the unit as a kit, or pre-assembled, but be aware that the larger size of a pre-assembled kiosk increases shipping costs. The kit is supplied in durable re-usable packaging complete with velcro straps so you can take down and re-assemble this unit wherever you need it.
We maintain a stock of parts to extend the life of your display - we've rescued clients who've lost every connector for a tradeshow stand, in shipping errors. We'll even buy the unit back at the end of the products' useful life! This is partially because we design for ease of recycling and re-use. See our complete display systems website for details of our environmental policies. This unit is designed by us in our London offices, the parts are manufactured in the UK and China, and assembled in our factory and warehouse in Dorset.
Shipping: we use UPS for deliver in the UK, but at your request we can use a different shipper or part ship the order with different carriers for different destinations. Manufacturing and delivery times for standard products are usually between a few days for smaller volumes and a few weeks for orders of 250 or more.
Installation: the kit is easy to assemble in a matter of minutes. We can pre-assemble the unit and ship it ready for you to insert the tablet. If you want more assistance, we can install the unit on location - we've assembled an entire tradeshow stand in Chicago, for example!
The stand is very secure ensuring your iPad is securely held in place by key locks and frames that are not quickly disassembled for access to the iPad.
Common customisation choices are:
Select a different tablet - especially important when large quantities are involved, as you may not be able to source adequate supplies of Apple iPad 2s for larger projects; that's how the Motorola Xoom became a standard choice for this unit!
A different acrylic colour for the fascia - a relatively expensive choice for one-off custom orders, but more economic at larger volumes
Higher or shorter upright - the standard version is optimised for European and US adults, but it can be shortened for children or wheelchair users, for example.
Body colour is pale grey, but we can paint it to your preferred branding colours.
Customisation typically takes a couple of days for us to produce drawings for approval, and delivery cycles are between a few days and few weeks, depending on whether we need to have custom mouldings or toolings for your specific needs. Just drop us a sketch of call one of our helpful staff who'll guide you to the most suitable design or customisations for your needs.
We do not sell, include or provide any tablets - you must order tablets and any software for them, separately. Tablets shown in images are for illustrative purposes only. We do not sell, deliver or service the Apple iPad, iPad 2 or the Motorola Xoom.
