Like many others here I too am a Turtle Islander and give thanks to Great Spirit for directing you to share these songs with the people; ALL THE PEOPLE. May they be embraced by the hearts and spirits of all, that bridges to a connected, sacred future be built between all nations. Oh Mitakuye Oyasin!

These songs are a gift and in the spirit of the give away I accept them. Those that disagree with having them here forget that they came from the Great Spirit and they are meant for all to learn and enjoy and use in sacred ways. For all of us on the Red Road; thanks and look forward to more songs. Aho

For your brothers and sisters lost and scattered to time, victimized the erosion of our culture, I NEED your posts and appreciate them and accept them with honor. I can understand how some might believe posting in this venue is a way of exploitation and they fear that the sacredness of these songs are vulnerable...and I respect that. I, however, allow each syllable to echo in my heart and it has helped to restore my connection and heal my broken spirit. Thank you.

I, for one am glad that these songs are here. I am a Jew, and I understand what it's like to have the wisdom of your ancestors raped and spread around like a virus with things like kabbalah centre...so it sucks that that happens, but at the same time, there are many people like me that appreciate your culture and want to learn more...not some entertainment at all, but rather something truly sacred...and in truth...nothing sacred belongs to one people group...all that wish to truly know, ought to

@mrsshanksta2423 I know that so many sacred things have been stolen from your people, so i understand your concern. And posting them here brings the risk of people not appreciating these sacred songs correctly. At the same time, it also gives many people a chance of remembering something that is food for their souls, and a way of preserving your culture.

@mrsshanksta2423 I agree w/ you that these songs are sacred. Being a white European, i should not listening to these songs. But i do. These songs are certainly NOT entertainment for me! I'd rather go without food than without these songs. I consider these songs sacred and keep them in my heart. So i am thankful i can listen to them.

Thank you for these songs. I am trying to learn how to sing, with my son. We do not have anyone to teach us these songs, and we are very grateful. It would really be helpful, if we knew the translations, thank you....

I'm not sure how trying to help people better participate in ceremony constitutes a lack of cultural understanding. Traditional people have been recording these songs, and selling them, for a very long time, at least one hundred years. The songs here appear in the spirit of the give-away, and nothing else.

Exactly what i said these r sacred songs!!! Meant for sacred ceremonys for our ppl! Shouldn't be on here AT ALL

On your first two points, we are in agreement. On your last, we are not.
