Ferrofluid in a glass fishbowl filled with water. Running a 2 inch neodymium magnet underneath the tray it was sitting on.

  • I don't remember treating it other than making sure it was really clean. I think you can try and treat the glass with RainX and buff it out really good. That might work, but no guarantees. I've had good luck with ferro fluid in alcohol as well, but it starts to change the water color if you agitate it too much. Good luck!

  • Is your glass specially treated? I have tried making a display with ferrofluid and water in a round bottom flask but it coats the sides.
