This puts a new light on video chat rooms. How many people have responded to your video thus far?

Fascinating idea. You are really using the medium to do your research in a hands-on kind of way. I'm very curious to see how the project turns out in terms of how you measure the results in regards to youtube as an effective way to socially network.

This is a very interesting and creative way to explore the relationship between cyber and reality. I'm curious to see how many people respond, what types of people respond and if you actually go on a date with one of them. Good luck.

I found this fascinating, and think that the high level of response you have experienced says something about the amount of social interaction people actually crave, even on a site that is not explicitly designed to foster those types of relations.

Great idea! I imagine you're collecting some very interesting data thru this method. I haven't watched all the tour videos yet, but it seems that your approach to this project is the most "direct," for lack of a better word, in how you're interacting with the YT community.
Your video editing is nice! Cool idea for a project, btw.

Thanks! I've been trying to experiment a bit more with my video editor.

How does a viewer actually track down the video? Is it tagged "dating" or "online date"?? In just a few days, how is someone supposed to find your "dating" video out of the millions of videos on YouTube. I'm really curious to see if people actually respond. Very creative ideas!

We purposely tagged the video so it would get a lot of hits, which we will reveal in our final presentation. I honestly have no idea how people are getting to my video. In a couple days, it's received over 1,000 views AND been posted on other websites.

FYI: The YouTube video response, messages, comments, and AIM convos shown in the tour are actual products of our case study - not just random clips.
