Ritter was one of those actors who could perform comedy and also be insanely dramatic in a role. His performance in Sling Blade was excellent, but he will always be remembered for being a class act and his many talents.

Ritter's death shocked the hell out of me. I was in my bed 5:00 in the morning watching the news. The anchors said breaking news from Hollywood John Ritter died and I swear I left my mouth open for minutes afterwards. I LOVED 8 Simple Rules . Then minutes later Johnny Cash...... Two celebs dying on the same day is too damn much.

@uhernandez55 and the sad part was that it was also the same day as his daughter's fifth birthday. I feel bad for his daughter, having a terrorist attack on her third birthday and her father passing away on her fifth birthday! Poor girl.
