I've enjoyed you vids and the concept of the smallblock chev in a bimmer, but do wish you had have spent as much time showing the prepwork to the car. Did you retain the stock rear? What suspension changes were made?

@dalotel Except the LS1 is a much better engine than the 5.0. I'm a Ford guy too but the LS1 is a well done engine.

I have a 5.3L all aluminum L33 in my 2006 Sierra. How is this 5.3 that came in the Envoy different? I wonder why GMC and Chevy did not make my engine with cylinder deactivation.
No. Chevy LS-V8 is dimensionally smaller, weighs less than any BMW I-6 (and far less than any BMW V8), and this one makes around 350hp. While that's less than the M5 motor, it can easily be upgraded to well beyond M5 spec. Not to mention, you're not paying $15,000 for a motor. Do some research, learn about what you speak.
