Gallbladder Laparoscopic Hassan Trocar Surgery bile Sutures liver
The gallbladder is a small organ located below the liver. It's function is to store bile used by the instestines to digest food.
Gallstones - small calcified deposits - sometimes form and block the bile ducts which lead from the gallbladder to the intestines.
In many cases, the problem becomes so severe, that the only effective treatment is to remove the entire gallbladder.
This is the most common reason for gallbladder surgery.
Then, after you're asleep, your doctor will make a small, vertical incision in your navel.
Using a pair of small retractors, the surgeon will gently open the incision and divide the exposed tissues.
Sutures resembling a purse string are placed in the skin around the navel.
Next, a special instrument called a Hassan Trocar is inserted through the opening in the navel.
The purse string sutures are pulled, causing the skin to tighten around the instrument. This creates an airtight seal.
The team then connects the Trocar to a small hose ...
The nhschoices website confirms olive oil isn't going to help. Considering the fat content and the likely pain resulting you wouldn't be likely to talk me into drinking it. Even complex surgery is routine and common place, why would anyone make themselves suffer when they have a surgeon willing to remove it?

I might have to have mine removed, I have been in a lot of pain all week, they now know what it is and it's great to be able to prevent attacks by avoiding fat I am waiting for an ultrasound appointment, they have done x-rays, and blood tests.

@watchensee It does way more than aids in digestion, I placed a naturopathic approach on my site for the GB. It will remain posted for a few more days.

@WiiForever302 It does way more than hold bile to emulsify fats.

No offense to the guys discouraging this surgery and suggesting natural remedies, but this guys are probably too scared to undergo surgery, which is one of the most simple surgeries around today, and listen to the internet(which most of time isnt true)
Plus, they spam constantly on videos, they probably never considered it.
Yes I went through the pain of gallstones, and had it removed, and no more pain for me.

@watchensee It continues to go to do its job, in the intestines. The gallbladder only stores and makes bile thicker, with gallstones, its a bag that causes a lot of problems.

@WiiForever302 Where does the bile go after the gallbladder is removed?
watchensee 1 year ago
@watchensee The gallbladder just holds the bile, it helps in digestion but it isnt needed to live.

If the gallbladder aids in diegestion, how can we live without one?

@AmericanGirlDoll1997 Not really. The surgery itself wont hurt as a matter a fact the nurse gave me the anistetic they give you and it knocked me right out and i never felt the surgery itself. For a few weeks after youre not allowed to do much but lay in bed because after the surgery your abdominal muscles will be really tight and hurt so they give you some pain meds to use for a few weeks after words. Its not to bad the pain meds will keep you mostly asleep so.
