Baby duck at home

This is a duck we rescued. We have no idea what happened to its mom, it was abandoned when we found it, and the next day we found it a shelter with more ducks than we could count. No, I am not poking the duck, I am only pretending. Don't remember the logic to that, but don't worry, it's safe.

What a sweet little guy. You did a good thing. How will he know where to migrate to in winter? Do you think he'll be able to join some other ducks or do they let outsiders in?

The place we brought him to had other baby ducks his age (and all ages), so I'm sure he'll fit in fine. :D

How do you guys know you just didn't steal the duck from it's mom, and the duck was just heading out?

We didn't see it's mom in the area, and we did look. When we got it, it was also weak and dirty, we didn't even think it would live on the car ride home. We took this video after it ate and cleaned itself up.

i stoll a kitten from it's mother because she ignored it.I bottle fed it for 1 month spoiled her rotton.she is 9 years old now.lol

not all the time... birds are actually better parents then other animals. its just easier for them to get separated cause they are such easy prey

Acually the father does nothing for the babies, and the mother always leave them alone.
