A look at one of Cherry Creek Arts Festival's year-round art education and outreach programs, the Mobile Art Collection. Through the support of Janus, our partnership with the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), and on-site event programming like the Art Auction (http://www.cherryartsauction.org/) the Arts Festival is able to present the Mobile Art Collections I+II (MAC) to students and community members every year. Both Mobile Art Collections, consist of original works of art from exhibiting artists and tours perpetually throughout Colorado to schools, libraries, community centers and other public venues. Each Mobile Art Collection provides entrance to the visual arts in an accessible, non-threatening setting and introduces the public to various art forms through exhibition of original artwork. The Cherry Creek Arts Festival (CCAF) is a year-round 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit art services organization whose mission is to provide access to a broad array of arts experiences and support art education in Colorado.

CCAF produces its signature cultural event for Colorado annually during the 4th of July weekend. The arts festival weekend event is a world-class and award-winning celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts, and enjoys an attendance of 350,000 visitors over the 3-day event. CCAF gives patrons the rare and special opportunity to meet and talk with international visual artists, sample fine cuisine, visit special exhibits and artist demonstrations, and entertain their families with interactive 'Artivities' and exciting performing arts.

  • next year I would love to see the students presentation to the Janus people arguing why they chose the particular piece.
