A quick video of my general process for inking and colouring a sketch in Photoshop. Remember to use layers so that you can adjust stuff as you go!

1) Use the Pen Tool to create the lineart. Each of my lines is a different shape - this allows for much finer control over the thickness and position of the lines.
2) Fill in block colours using the magic wand ON NEW LAYERS
3) Throw in some quick light and shade

4) Sometimes I like to add some subtle gradients to the flat colours. Didn't end up going with it in this case though.

PS - Try to vary your line thickness, it's what the cool kids do ;)
