God is using Bro. Duty hugely. I haven't seen him in awhile, But I love him and I love his music. He is by far my favorite. I have so many really good memories of time spent with him and his family. And even had the privilege of working with him in his private studio to record cd's for a couple of other people. What a blessing his music has been to me!!! God is GOOD!!!
This particular song is very special to me. God used the Rowlands, who sang it at SSBT's Camp Achor the summer of 1996, last night of camp. God moved in under the tent and they continued to sing it about 20 times. During that service, God convicted my then-16 year old son, who surrendered to the Lord that night and got saved.
Sound Doctrine was already singing together before Gary and Carol Duty joined SSBT. Very sad to say, they aren't singing together anymore that I know of. When this recording was made, their daughter Angie sang the high tenor and son Tony played bass. We were very blessed by brother Duty's music. He wrote many wonderful songs, founded upon scripture.
They originated out of South Side Baptist Tabernacle in Michigan. That might be a good start. I heard they are no longer together, but dont know what really happened to them for sure. I know this is such a good song, one of my most liked songs.
Just shows you the reality of what Jesus did for us!! I LOVE Sound Doctrine! Did they end their band? Where can I find (buy) their music? I have a couple cassettes, but they're getting really old.Someone please help!!
Love this song. I was listening to this group since I was 18 and now I'm 30 and still loving it

Thank you Lord, all I can do is cry. You suffered so much for me. What love. I was that woman now I am a new creature in Christ.
