  • If you add the ability to let them change colors and see the colors of each other, you might be able to make them stop forming the loops.

  • @alexander256 I assumed so. I was simply curious as to what language he was using. Any ideas?

  • @HandledTrivia He's probably using his own program, so there would not be much use in him making up a name for it. He's using genetic algorithms. Look it up on Wikipedia. :)

  • nice use of predator/prey relationships. is their behavior based on locating food and following each other? do the ones at the back of the line get a chance to eat? how random is the direction and motion? is forward motion constant? do they have a system for breeding, or is it assumed they are reproducing?

  • what parameters does it have, like "how long one life time is", "energy consumption" etc..

  • could it be that following someone gives you a chance to eat his body?
