  • take a trip around michigan and see what unions have done to all the car plants

  • $10/hr serving coffee WTF! Carpal tunnel serving coffee WTF! Dream on buddy dream until your dream comes true.....

  • If you work at starbucks....you deserve this

  • As a part-time worker I am afforded health insurance at 20 hours, vision, dental, vacation, stock, 401k, SIP, donation matching, etc.. Can't complain. I get paid over 10 an hour as a barista. Starting wage at a bank here? 8 or less.

Starbucks should stop hiring so many damned liberals and then they will have less a risk for this. Where is it written that a business owes you? You get paid for what you work and that is the minimul obligation.

  • My hours dipped down and I had three months before I truly lost benefits so I didn't need to Cobra. i have seen some of the laziest people up in arms when they get fired or written up. They want a union to protect them from being fired b/c they don't work hard enough! Seriously, Starbucks is a business, not a charity. There isn't a contract that says you will be given X amount of hours just like 90% of jobs in America. Why single out Starbucks?

  • Carpal tunnel? When I started at Sbux over 5 years ago we were encouraged to take frequent breaks and do hand stretches. We have had AUTOMATIC bars for over 3 years. You have to push a button now! God, these people are sissies! The only people I know that had trouble getting hours for benefits were the ones that were always late, asked for lots of time off, had irregular availability (or changed it abruptly or frequently). When your hours drop down--they don't drop you for several months.

  • why do these people think that Starbucks is a civil service? why does Starbucks owe them anything? I work for the company and they should fire MORE people! Goddamned socialists. What happens if Starbucks just closes? These people can go back to making 6 dollars an hour at Dunkin Donuts. Why don't they pressure companies that give NOTHING to employees? I got benefits for 4 years and had no problem getting 20 hours. you also sign an employ at will statement when you start. You can quit!

  • my solidarity, from Seville (Spain): Cole, you know they can't stop us ;) Mónica.

  • One BIG UNION
