Had a lot of requests to give a sample of what to expect so here is a full length tutorial on how to shoot with a DSLR and 4 pieces of kit to get cinematically stunning shots within 7 minutes.
The principles are the same and work equally for both 'staging' photoshoots and reportage shooting.

If you learnt anything from this 9 minute tutorial, then imagine what you could learn from the 8 hours + that we currently have on the main site!! check it out

  • Great video! Can I ask what lens you were using? Would a canon 50mm f/1.4 be okay for this?

  • @TimArmstrong18 we hope we can entice you to join our site for lens answers and a lot lot more :) all tutorials listed here on our tutorials page (pdf)

  • whats the music used in the video?

  • very educational

  • Great tutorial! Just wondering how you manage to keep the camera focused? Especially during the monopod shot (when you can't even have a hand on the focus ring)? Thanks! :)

  • one of the best video tutorial I have seen.

  • These are nice camera stabilizer but very expensive and hard to master. I've had great success obtaining smooth shots using a Cam Caddie I highly recommend looking into them.

  • Love the two leg tripod trick. Great idea. Learned a lot from this! Great job!

  • I would like to see more what the photographer did and what was the result. As for video the ideas are great, but the grading is too dark

  • How did you focous when using the monopod at that high?

  • great tips
