A friend of mine, a nurse, had a job in America. She left when the doctor walked away from the bedside of a sick old lady because her insurance wasn't in place. Doctors are supposed to be healers. I'd like to meet an American Doctor, just to spit in his eye. If they work within that system they are greedy evil bastards, and you should not trust them with your life. Grow up, America. After 234 years, even a yoghurt develops a culture!

Yes you have good healthcare, not great healthcare. And only if you have money. If you dont, then you better get your stitches done at home. As the richest country in the world, responsible for a quarter of the global economy, you have the 37th best healthcare system, right behind Slovakia at 36. There is a serious flaw somewhere.

That Doctor has no place being a doctor if he's going to abandon people without insurance.

Yes, A&E (or emergency rooms as they're called in America) are required to stabilise people, but it doesn't change the fact that people do turn down care because of the cost, and that in so many areas the American healthcare system is fundamentally flawed.

As far as I, or any Brit, is concerned, healthcare is a right from the cradle to the grave.

but here in slovakia doctor will never refuse you if you are sick and dont have any money.. and I suppose that slovakia should be higher in this table .. thats my opinion..

@JBTG33 yeah he probably lived, and im sure was an inspiration, maybe a good speaker. however theres a lot of evidence to say that jesus was made up, since horus the eqyptian god had sooooo many similarities, and more than likely since no one who ever wrote in the bible ever met jesus

@fdama We have excellent HC in the U.S......it's always people from other countries doing the complaining.....And NOBODY is turned away at the ER....regardless of their ability to pay.....heck, women from Mexico come across the border when their water breaks....free delivery and "citizenship" for their baby!.....wooohoooo.

I fully understand that non believers can be good people, the difference is you operate under your own set of rules.

I believe in one God.....there are many ways to that one God.....maybe Jesus isn't Gods only son (or daughter) maybe there are many "messengers"....If there is one God, we believers are all after the same thing.....and if we are wrong?...what's the harm?

@JBTG33 i have an advantageous position of being brought up with prents who dont believe in god, thankful to say i dont murder or steal despite not reading the ten commenments when i was little. i also believe that people 2000 years ago had the same motives and desires for power that humans do now, and they were probably less moral. Why cant you be as critical as i am towards the bible, im not making one sided arguements here, im asking the questions that you would ask in a strange religion

(I'm not sure what).....to mislead us into ....being good people?.......do you think the bible is a hoax, or is it just not reliable?.......and in the absence of absolute fact, we should just do as we please (steal, rape, cheat, lie)....because if there is no God...."wrong" is just a matter of opinion.
