I also prefer this version to the one by the Sandpipers. Bobbi's emotional voice and the 'faster' speed improve the song so much. Apparently a great talent sadly underused.

It is Very Bacharach, the entire song is a seaside sunset. Like driving southbound along the scenic route through Rancho Palos Verdes between Hermosa Beach and San Pedro during sunset. Thanks for the tip Wally.

@DancingSpiderman Yeah, she was from around the early '60s through the '70's. Do a You Tube search for the song "For The Love Of Him" and you'll probably recognize the one huge hit she had.

Who was this lady? Why have I never heard of her before...let alone her incredible voice?
I can see I'm going to be on eBay tonight hunting for her Lp's. Thanks god for YouTube and thanks to people like you who post these treasures.
