Crime Scene: PALO ALTO / BARON PARK ARSONIST CRIME WATCH - CALL 911

ARSONIST LOOSE IN PALO ALTO... CONFIRMED ARSON FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN BARON PARK .

Date Line: JUNE 17,2009 / Palo Alto California.

911 Dispatchers were called late wednesday night at 10:18 PM on to a reported portable toilet fire on Matadero Road on Matadero Creek near TIPPAWINGO AVE in Palo Alto. The toilet was located next to the Matadero Creek in a dry area with potential threat of the fire to spread into the trees and brush located by the Creek.

With that potential, a First Alarm assignment was called. Upon arrival the first engine company to arrive on scene quickly extinguished the fire only to reveal the obvious signs of an intentionally set fire and of an Arsonist. The Portable toilet was stuffed with dry branches and other kindling type flammable material with the obvious intent to cause a much larger fire and with the intent to spread into the trees and structures in the neighborhood. Thanks to the quick work of the Palo Alto Fire department Their fast work stopped the plans of the Arsonist before it spread into the brush.

That Local Community needs to be on alert of all suspicious persons in the area. The community needs to be vigilant about the fact of a known arsonist in the area who willfully attempted to start a file with the intent to cause harm and damage. The community should be aware that the Arsonist if he or she has another opportunity wiil again attempt to commit arson yet again. This person needs to be apredended before he or she causes injury or death.
