Sexual Addiction. It's the secret sin we don't like to talk about. Yet it is single handedly corrupting our society—destroying marriages, families, careers. Even churches. A startling survey recently revealed that 50% of Christian men and 20% of Christian women admit they are addicted to pornography*. Not just struggling...addicted. The numbers are real. It must be dealt with. The silence must end.

FreedomBeginsHere is the only resource of its kind helping churches, families and individuals break the stronghold of sexual addiction. Hosted by Dr. Gary Smalley and Pastor Ted Cunningham, it provides relevant, life-changing help for this growing problem. With in-depth teaching from Dr. Mark Laaser, recognized as the leading Christian authority on sexual addiction, Freedom Begins Here is a series of DVD-driven "Toolkits" designed specifically to empower churches and individuals to face the problem head on.

  • I want anyone who reads this to know, there is always hope, there is freedom from pornography.

When I was twelve, I became addicted to pornography and sexual immorality. It has been a big struggle, but God has been there for me.

Pray, feast on God's word, GET AN ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER! God wants to see you free from your addiction just as much as you do. More, actually.

You're not alone in your addiction. Whoever you are, I'm praying for you.

  • I ask God daily for His will to be done in my life. He is molding us to His will. Thank you for sharing your hope with us. Many Blessings to you and yours...

  • hey, God ended my long porn addiction in a single moment. I was the worst person ever, I was evil, but God in his infinite grace saved me. Its the power of gods love that sets you free, not a 'supernatural encounter'.

  • Hmmm using the flesh to stop the fleshly actions...no way. NOT BIBLICAL. God doesn't want to come along side you and help you through this addiction...that is a lie. He has already given you the victory in Him, it is called the exchanged life. This just puts people in condemnation because they cannot overcome it by any thing that they can do.

Oh Lord help people to see the real gospel message that you have died for their sins therefore they have died with you and were raised to new life

  • relying on God? Then why need an accountability partner? I Tried, but in the nitty gritty. . .there was no supernatural or divine intervention, no tugging of the spirit in a different way. . .Just a SIMPLE, yes or no choice for me and my natural, but now-perverted sexual drive. I dont have a wife to run to, or to find RELIEF from my desire with, just me, and my desire alone. . . . . I want out of this. . .

  • I dont care what role we men have. . .I still feel incredibaly inferior to women as far as this goes. . . They are immune to such thoguhts, temptations, etc. . .like a superior creature. . .while we are subject to its controlling power, I am controlled by it, and it is not vice versa. . . I am falling in the mud crawling, and they are watching with disdain and disgust from the sidelines. . . I sure dont see what you say, its like men NEED women, and women tolerate men. . . i feel weak

  • Amen.

  • Amen Brother. I was there too.

  • JESUS IS NECESSARY FOR EVERYTHING! he gives us strength for everything!

  • The idea of being set apart and for lack of better terms making oneself holy, making oneself worthy, making oneself pure and true and strong is very powerful. However, I don't think this is a religious issue. Just as with the pro-life movement there needs to be a secular movement as well. One doesn't have to be Christian to realize that pornography and abortion is ugly and for lack of better term "evil", one needs only to have a free mind.

  • I agree that pornography victimizes the male psyche just as much as the female psyche. But I don't think Jesus is necessary to overcome it. All that is needed to overcome it is to realize how pathetic and ugly the viewing of pornography is, especially if you are alone.

My concern is that if we make this a religious issue it will go the way of abortion. People will dismiss those who are concerned about pornography as Jesus freaks.

  • Here is truth #2 ...

Men, we women need you to be our protectors, providers, and our source of stability. We look up to you and need you to be our heroes. Whether you are in a relationship now or will be later on, we need you to have a stable mind for us. Pornography is very selfish, & it tears lives apart. Please think of those who are hurt by it. You should be angry & take a stand against an industry that hurts so many and distorts & cheapens something that is meant to be beautiful & pure.
