@spmillz I don't care either way. I just really feel that Richardson questions whether he can market a black QB in the south, especially one who white southern fans might see as "ghetto". I know it's racist, but the Panthers must sell Cam to their base. I think even Cam gets it. He is more desirable, as clean cut proper Cam Newton! As he wins more, people will care less about that $hiT, you know? I understand about Fitzergerald, but receivers aren't Qbs. Panthers have other guys with dreads.

@phoneyexcuses99 I see where you are coming from but I do not believe that Tom Brady was ever asked to cut his hair. I understand about the money and the billboards but Larry Fritzgerald (who just signed a huge contract) wears dreadlocks. I understand that he is not the quaterback but he is a leader on that team and a presence in that community. The Cardinals are not complaining about him. Why isn't Charlotte complaining about Jeremy Shockey:-/ And if they are they are not making alot of noise.

@spmillz It isn't like that at all. You just have to understand that the NFL is a business. The team is investing $40 million in Cam Newton and they want to make him marketable for billboards, tv ads, etc. Cam needs to sell tickets, and the fact is, most people, especially in Conservative Charlotte, like their athletes to be clean-cut and proper. Even Cam knows this... Now, if he wins a SuperBowl or the Panthers are awesome... fans care less about that stuff. It's why Brady can get away with it

@MegaDfort32 This is my point exactly. It is like they have separate rules for Black Athletes. Which shoul be nothing new in society because Jerry Lewis can act like a bafoon in his early films but when a black actor did it, it was considered coonery. I am not supporting coonery in any way I am just making a point.
