Anybody who looks at this and thinks he's "average" has no appreciation for fundamental football. He's a brilliant football player, very rarely do you see a college linebacker with this much field awareness and overall polish.

@kismet818 This guy just doesn't have the passion to play. Look at Curry, he's always near the ball. He might be in the wrong spots or go up the wrong gaps at times but you never see him go half assed. McClain loses all of his battles, hell I remember in the Pats game he got blocked by a receiver! Pissed me off! I really want him to prove me wrong but it just doesn't look like that will happen..

@bamaisnumberone What does winning a COLLEGE award have to do with the NFL? How many Heisman Trophy winners have been flops in the NFL? That's right, ALOT. He was able to keep up with college players but as we all know, the NFL is all about speed and size and this dude has NO speed. So the fact that he won the Butkus award in COLLEGE means zilch, IMO.

@kismet818 Two words: "Bull Shit" I don't care if you're a Raider fan for 40 years this was McClain's second year give him one more year gave McFadden more year and look what he did and gave DHB one more year and look what he did. You guys are idiots if we give McClain one more to shine then you'll take that back but if he fails one more year then we'll scrap him why did we bring Allen in the first place? To help fix not only our whole defense but McClain as well! Think about!

@1985Raiderfan I've been a Raider fan for over 40 years and I disagree with you buddy. It's not that he's a loser or lazy. It's the fact that he's SLOW. Once a runner gets to the edge it's over. He can't run anybody down cuz he's just too damn SLOW and you can't TEACH speed. For being drafted so high, he IS a bust IMO.You could give him 5 more years and it wouldn't make a difference. SLOW is SLOW!!!
