I studied abroad for a month in Australia this summer. I took a disciplines of media class and have posted my final assignment on YouTube. The course consisted of 3 assignments and a fourth grade of a journal to record trials, tribulations, and the brainstorming of all other assignments.
Assignment 1 was to capture 10 shots using basic videography skills and techniques. Assignment 2 was to conduct an interview and turn in 1 minute of it. Assignment 3 (this video) was to create a 3 minute video with an interview, voiceover, and extra footage to correlate with the topic being: What Does It Mean to be Australian.
Most people in their class interviewed their grandparents or bosses, but being an international student I didn't have that luxury. I was lucky enough to have met someone on campus that invited me back to her house for the weekend to experience a different part of Australia. I studied in the city of Adelaide and I traveled to Loxton, Australia which is much more rural than the urban life I was confined to. This girl, Jenna Hoffmann had a wonderful family and I ended up interviewing her younger sister, Kellie. Through my final project I was a bit more specific with the topic and took a take on "What It Means to Live in Rural Australia."
Hope you enjoy!
excellent, A+ Kellie, good to see you.
