@WoodyMathias The difference being that in America, we are not provided any services funded by taxes (ie. healthcare, education, etc...) as they are in many other countries. All these thing are in addition to the income taxes. As a single white male with no children, making more than 50K annually, it could be possible to actually pay to the government up to 70% of income. My plan is to move out of America before it collapses completely. I agree with you on the comparison to USSR though.

Money to the government is money for the people of America. We pay 50% in in basetax in Denmark. Then there is the midtax 6% and toptax 15%, these extra taxes are added to the basetax, if you make more than certain amount of money a year.

This way, people still make more than one another, but poverty is virtually non existant. Money circulation in the society can be regulated to protect the people.

Exessive taxation, like in USSR is not even remotely comparable to that, to say so is ludacris.

Medicare, medicaid, food labels, SEC and financial regulations are socialist.

Obama's policies are not socialist at all, he decreased medicare benefits to the elderly and social security. Like anyone who's not rich should care about rich people's taxes.

He's not raising taxes on the rich at all. The rich used to pay 70 percent during the 50s and 60s and guess what, that was a golden age.

eliminate social security tax, property tax, fica and medicare tax which is all used to fill the gov't's. pockets and put it back in the pockets of the people from whence it came.
