Yea but what year was it made? Mine was made in the Gustoff werke in Weimar Germany in 1944 symbolized by a single or double 4. the codes range from 1934 to 1945. My rifle too served on the Russian front.

Sorry, I forgot to say that in the video. It is a 1941 rifle. The location I did state is "DUV' markings.

Sorry about that. Even though I'm only 15 I love history. I sudy a lot about WWII. I personaly think this wasthe best rifle disighned. I own one of these rifles. They are fun to shoot but it gives a pretty good kick

If you are going to make a vidio of a rifle at least do your hmwk.
The #,s on the rear sight mean meeters x100 and has a range of 2000 meeters.

Well I said I just got the rifle. No need to be a jerk about it. So people shot 2000 yards with iron sights?... yea, I am sure they did. Thanks for the info. I figured that the markings ment that but didnt think shooting iron sight that far was realistic.
