Dancing at Stonehenge

Performed by the 2008 Texas Region 18 Symphonic Band

This was the top of the two all-region bands. Hundreds of band students from different schools participated in long and grueling auditions to compete for a spot in the two region bands.

From there, the students had one 2 hour sectional, and 8 hours of full band rehearsal time to prepare the music.

The director of the Symphonic Band was Dennis Fisher from the University of North Texas.

The director of the concert band (not shown) was Frank Troyka.

  • @amandalynnm2007 **cough cough**trumpets are better**cough cough** thumbs up if agree**

  • We played this in our middle school band

  • This song was such an experience. . . being only in 7th grade surronded by amazing older players, it was definetly challenging. I wish I could play it again now that I'm older :) Such a unique piece.

  • Sight read not sight see

  • The honor band at the University of Georgia's "Midfest" attempted to sight read this song- it wasn't pretty. The bass clarinet part for this song is really boring except for the unison part. It was fun to sightseer this sing I guess.

  • im getting sea sickness from watching this no offence but u need a tripod or something
