A Broken Down Bus Chapter 9

Katie looked back up into Nick's eyes.
Katie: I don't want you to go...
He kissed her forehead gently.
Nick:(whispers) I'll talk to you every day over the phone, because your mine and nothings going to change that.
Katie: (crying gently) it's just- your so- ugh... your wonderful..
Nick: not as wonderful as you.
Nick kissed her lips again, and during the kiss, they heard a beep behind them. They pulled away and looked, to see Mrs. Karlson smiling like crazy at the 2 of them from her car. They got in.
Mom: so... lovebirds.. how was the movie?
Katie turned red, but Nick smiled and answered.
Nick: It was amazing.
He looked at Katie.
Nick: really amazing.
Mom: well that's good.. we have to pick up Alexis at the bus, so you can say goodbye to everyone, Katie.
Katie suppressed a sob. This was it. Nick was leaving. He was leaving, and he wouldn't be back until the second week of school. Katie didn't care that he mom was there. She grabbed Nick and kissed him, holding him so tight.
Mom: We're here... oh!
She looked, and saw that Katie and Nick were in a tight embrace. She awkwardly got out of the car, and closed the door.
Katie pulled away.
Nick: Katie..
Katie: ohh... i don't want you to go...
She laid her head on his chest, and he gently rubbed her head.
Nick: it's ok.... come on, lets get out and you can say goodbye to everyone.
They got out of the car and walked over to everyone.
Denise: Thanks so much, Tiara. Your a life saver. And Katie, Alexis, we'll miss you girls.
Kevin Sr.: we'll be back soon, and then you guys can hang out with your 3 new friends.
Katie smiled. They would know in just a few minutes how "friendly" her and nick were, when they said one more goodbye.
Alexis: I'll miss you, Kevin.
Kevin: I'll miss you too... i'll call you every time i get the chance.
He hugged her tightly, and kissed her hand.
Joe: see you, girls.
He hugged the girls.
Nick: i'll see you, Alexis.... and Katie.
He leaned in and kissed her lips in front of everybody.
Nick pulled away a few moments later.
Katie: bye... i'll miss you so much.
Nick: and i'll miss you....
He whispered in her ear.
Nick(whispers): i'll always be yours, Katie.
He gave her one more kiss, and then everyone got on the bus, and they drove away.
Alexis: woah!! your dating??
But Katie couldn't speak. Tears started pouring down her cheeks, she sobbed, and hugged her mom.
Mom: it's ok, hunn... you'll see him soon.
Katie: ya.. in a month... let's go home.
She wiped her tears away and got in the car.

That night, Katie was lying down on her bed, when her cell phone rang.
"Take a breath, just take, a breath. People change, promises-" she answered the phone.
Katie: hello?
Nick: Katie!!!
Katie: Nick!! oh my god!!! I've been dying to hear your voice.
Nick: how is my angel?
Katie: i'm ok.... i miss you already... where are you?
Nick: we're in Chicago... we're doing a show tomorrow night, so we need to get ready.
Katie: i'm practising "Love Bug"
Nick: could you play it for me?
Katie: of course.
She picked up her guitar, and played into the phone. She sang as well. It was the first time she had ever sang i front of Nick. At the end, she aked:
Katie: i'm not a very good singer, but how was the guitar?
Nick: not a good singer??? that was AMAZING!!
Katie: thanks, Nick.
Nick: your wel- oops... i gotta go. We're practicing the flips for on stage. I'll call you tomorrow.
Katie: oh.. ok.
Nick: You'll always be my Katie... i wish i could kiss you right now...
Katie: it's ok... goodnight.
Nick: goodnight.
He hung up.
Katie lay back down on her bed. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad after all.

SHE WAS WRONG!!!!!

How was she wrong? Is it somehitng with school? ooooo read!!
