@Gunstick I agree. With "fixed" hardware coding was much more challenging. You had to get the most out of the hardware you had. Nowadays, with PC, games coders/designers just think "Well, if it doesn't run, it doesn't matter, they can just buy a faster processor/better gfx card/more ram". There's no emphasis on optimisation

I always regarded this as the best ST demo screen, not the prettiest or best design, but just something about it that I always loved

Music ripped from Rebels Amigademo.
"Rebels Megademo (Amiga) Part 6 - Sin-o-delic"
I always liked the Atari Amiga wars back in the day. I wish I had seen more Atari demos.

Great demo. My 520 STFM had a shifter chip problem and couldn't run overscan demos. I felt I was missing out so much I sold it and got myself a 4MB 520 STE.

A significant number of fullscreens on the ST have been written without any special integration tool (like 100% of fullscreens by NeXT)

ziggy... le meilleur...
et la nostalgie du ST
Une superbe epoque !!!
for those who don't know the Atari ST. It is technically impossible to put grafics in the border (that the the black area which is around the grafics in the beginning).
OK, it *was* technically impossible.
Same as it was impossible to do more than 4 sprites, more than 16 colors, scroll the whole screen or play digital multichannel sound.
And today? No more challenges like this. Life has become dull.
