From the Battle of the bands LP, (White whale 1968), a short track that opens with a much sampled break, sampled by De La Soul among others....the LP also contains other sampled/covered tracks (You showed me & Buzzsaw), and was one of the first concept albums of the '60's.

  • for 8 years i have wondered about this sample and always thought it said. Ohhh king come on i wanna lay ya , really wanna make a baby tonight ! is my mind fucked :P?

  • @NYOLSKOOL The song was "You Showed Me", Biz Markie sampled "Alonge Again (Naturally)" by Gilbert O Sullivan. The Beastie Boys were another group around that time that got sued.

  • dat vinyl quality

  • turtles sued da la soul over using samps from them. i forget the song but i know it had a turtle samp in it. big case back in 88, then another guy gary something sued biz markie aftrer that for his sampling. from then on, it was samp war..all about the money..earlier chic went after sugar hill gang on classic `rappers delight`,,but they only waqnted to be listed as songwriters..if u got that record look at label..chic/nile rodgers will be on it

  • GREAT TRACK!! LOVE THIS TRACK! SEE ROCK ME-STEPPENWOLF (ESPECIALLY THE BREAK), AND MARY MARY-MONKEES, AND ANYTHING BY PAUL REVERE & THE RAIDERS. COOL & STILL RELEVANT! DAVEDJ
