The world would be a much better place with religion and people running away from their responsibilities and consequences of a given single life. There would be more love and a lot less death and suffering...

Do you think there's such a thing as objective morality? I say yes, in that I give credence as truth in humanity. Your world-view, in that there are no moral truths, so anything goes, isn't going to make the world a better place, it will be worse! My point is, is that a world-view of no moral truths replacing a construct of moral truths is not any benefit to humanity, it's the very denial of humanity! Science can discover what we are but never inform us of who we are!

If there was no God, there would be no soul, no afterlife, no real love, hate, good, evil or crime itself because all these have no scientific meanings. Morality would be no more than an illusion of opinion and self-awareness and consciousness as an individual with freewill without a soul would be no more than biological chemical delusions. Science can try to discover what we are but never inform us of who we are. Are we made in God's image or evolution's freak of nature?

If there ever were a god, he disappeared billions of years ago. The universe has been running itself splendidly ever since, and needs no divine help to carry on. If you are so addicted to religion that you can't imagine living without it, I'd say that's a sign of sickness.
