  • Good one Scotty! I once heard that Scott was recruited for Blood Sweat and Tears and he turned them down saying they would never go anywhere... Does anybody know if that's true? I remember seeing the Rationals so many times and my favorite was "Guitar Army".

  • We met al kooper when he was in the blues project. we remained friends with him and the other guys including their manager. when they came to play the grande we met again. the other guys seemed to have forced him out and they needed a new singer. trouble was the rationals were recording their first album when they asked me to come to nyc for an audition.

  • i kinda figured if they could fire the founder i wouldn't have much pull in the band. they asked me a couple more times to be in janis joplin's band and andy kuhlenberg's as well. it was never about thinking they wouldn't go anywhere. we all just went different places.

  • Scott, I am quite determined to see this one go national (even yet!) in a screenplay I'm intending to write...give me about a year yet to complete it... u in?

  • you moved it bro!

  • you're the best Scottie !

  • Yes they asked him, but he wasn't jazzed about the management and where BS&T were going after they booted Al Kooper

  • And here all along my friends said I was full of SH%T, I knew that was true! I was from Lincoln Park, same place as MC5, Thompson lived a block away from me. Of course everyone in the Detroit area was in a band including me as a bass player we did a few of your tunes when we played around the city. Also when The Rationals were on Robin Seymours Swing Time or was it Swinging Time? It seemed like you huys were on every other day along with Seger. Saw you at Olympia With SRC. Great Memories!

  • Scotty still the man stud!!!!! I haven't heard this in 35 years!!!! Awesome. Sorry I couldn't make it....esther

  • Bob Segers only rival in Detroit white soul singer.
