  • You clearly haven't seen enough HK films if you believe the action in Haywire is of that high a standard.

  • @gilgamesh310 Haywire is an American film sir, that is why I critique it based off other American films. Hong Kong films (and I've seen many sir, big fan) are in a different genre altogether and it wouldn't be fair for me to critique an American film based off a Chinese standard. Which is why I gave this film such high praise, because it went to that level rather than demeaning it's American audience with poorly filmed action.

  • My favorite Soderberg film is 'The Limey'...I also liked 'Bubble'. However, when he has a big budget and dozens of Hollywood stars in his films I find him a little disappointing and boring. Going to see 'Haywire' this week so hoping I like it.

  • @blurayffan66 The Limey was great! Terrence Stamp was fantastic in it. Very underrated film.

  • If Fassbender is good in this I cant wait to see how good he is in Prometheus! :)

  • I love any movie with hot girls that kick ass (at least semi believably). This looks pretty good. Watch Chocolate with Jeeja Yanin she does all her own stunts too. Amazing.

  • @DaRunningMan I think that's what he means. I too am a big HK fan. And a Fight Choreographer myself. Haywire does not compete with HK action.

However this is easily one of the best fight scenes made in the US and it is slightly unique. For one not many fight scenes have no music and this is one of the few to actually make MMA look good since the style is so visually awkward when people start wrapping their legs around ppl's heads. Lastly it's hard to get a female to pull it off. Gina did great!
