@dalebednell Right now I have Ubuntu which I dont mind the new interface so much mainly because I hate Gnome. Not to familiar with Puppys packaging system but hell I will use anything not like Fedora.

@Faelsun There is now puppy linux 5.28 give that a try it's very easy to use and is fast and fun lot's of good apps

@dalebednell could you run it from an encrypted pen drive? during the install of ubuntu, i was able to create a partition for booting and a partition for everything else, then I set my /home to a logical volume and my / to a separate logical volume.
I like that puppy linux can also run from your ram, so you can start it with a CD then remove the CD and it still runs.
Puppy is just so cool.

Ubuntu is very good but you can't have it persistant on a 1gb pen
